Weekly Rehearsal
Come along to our weekly rehearsal! All are welcome, and you can join us at any point in the term. No need to have any knowledge of Gaelic or choir singing!
Your first visit to the choir is always completely free.
If you enjoy singing with us and want to keep going, we suggest a donation of £5 per rehearsal or £40 for the whole term. Your generous contributions keep our choir running.

Registration is open now! Join us at our singing workshop led by the incredible Bria Mason! We’ll be learning well-known ceilidh songs and choruses.
All are welcome! Bria will guide us all through the pronunciation, tunes, and translations of the songs. This will be a warm and inclusive opportunity to learn about Gaelic, sing with others, and find out more about our Edinburgh Gaelic Choir!
Join us for a full day (£20) of singing or for one of our two sessions:
Session 1 (10:30am–1pm): £15
Session 2 (2pm–4pm): £15
(Cost of attendance includes tea/snacks but not lunch)

Bria began learning Gaelic at the University of Edinburgh when she moved to Scotland in 2005. She graduated with an MA (Hons) Celtic and followed this up with an MLitt Language Policy and Planning from the University of Aberdeen. She has worked professionally in Gaelic development for ten years.
Bria began teaching Gaelic to adults in 2017. She strives to share her love of the language through creative and enthusiastic teaching. She has taught all levels of Gaelic language, from Beginner to Advanced. She has been leading Gaelic song classes and workshops for over a decade, both on her own and as part of outreach duo Glaikit Carnyx.
Bria has also been leading nature walks and workshops, sharing her love and knowledge of nature and its relationship with Gaelic culture for several years.
Bria has worked professionally in Gaelic development for ten years. She has been leading Gaelic song classes and workshops for over a decade and teaching Gaelic to adults since 2017. Her outstanding attribute is her infectious enthusiasm for all things Gaelic.

The Annual General Meeting of Còisir Dhùn Èideann will be held on Wednesday, 20th November at 7:15 pm at the Quaker Meeting House, Victoria Terrace, Edinburgh. You are cordially invited to attend.
The purpose of the AGM is to allow members to have a say in the management of the choir and to keep members informed of what the choir has been doing in the past year.

Join us for our final Gaelic choral singing workshop for Spring/Summer 2023, held in collaboration with Joy Dunlop.
The workshopswill develop participants’ confidence in singing in Gaelic as well as their repertoire of Gaelic songs, including those often performed by the massed choirs at the Royal National Mòd.
This is the fourth workshop in a series of four. It is possible to attend any of the workshops without previously having attended the former iterations.
Join us at the Quaker Meeting House on Wednesday 21st June for an Open Evening, organised in collaboration with Making Music. This will be an evening full of music, cakes, new friends, and an opportunity to practise a new, or develop an existing, skill. We look forward to meeting you!
